Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin all star in what is going to be one of the biggest Christmas films of 2009. ‘It’s Complicated’ is a comedy about love, divorce and everything in between. It follows the life of a woman who is in need of male companionship and ironically finds herself torn between two. The first is her ex-husband, who she has three children with and is remarried to an attractive younger woman. The second is a charming and dependable architect who has fallen for Jane whilst installing her new kitchen.

After a decade of divorce, Jane and her ex-husband Jake find themselves attending their son’s college graduation. Everything is friendly and dignified, but before they know what’s happening, an innocent meal turns into an affair. The situation is made worse as Jake is remarried to another woman who is considerably younger than Jane and determined to start a family. Now, against all her principles, Jane is The Other Woman.

Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam (Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realises he’s become part of a love triangle. Should Jane and Jake move on with their lives, or is love truly lovelier the second time around? It’s…. complicated.

Musical Veteran Hans Zimmer lends his compositional skills to the soundtrack for this romantic comedy.
